Dr.
McCollum is a native of Burlington, North Carolina, where
he successfully completed his formative education. He received
a diploma in accounting from Durham Business College, in Durham,
North Carolina; a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies
from Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina; a Master of
Divinity degree from International Bible Institute and Seminary,
Plymouth, Florida; a Doctor of Theology degree from the Interdenominational
Seminary and College of Theism, Baltimore, Maryland, and a
Doctor of Ministry (emphasis in Worship Studies), Eastern
North Carolina Theological Institute, Roanoke Rapids, North
Carolina. He has also studied at Shaw Divinity School, Raleigh,
North Carolina; Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond,
Virginia; University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia;
and Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia.
Dr. McCollum
is presently pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Littleton,
North Carolina, where he has served since 1975, and the Piney
Grove Baptist Church, Halifax, North Carolina, since 1977.
He is also founder and president of Eastern North Carolina
Theological Institute, centrally located in the city of Roanoke
Rapids, North Carolina, a school dedicated to the equipping
of those called to serve in the Gospel ministry, whatever
their field of endeavor.This institution was founded in 1991
as a vision given to Dr. McCollum to its present reality,
a very palatial spiritual environment. To God is the glory!

Dr. McCollum has been employed
as a ABE Teacher since 1975 by the Department of Correctional
Education, and has from 1991 to present, worked as a Transition
Specialist facilitating educational group activities to prepare
incarcerated men and women for successful re-entry as productive
individuals back into society.
Dr. McCollum has received numerous
awards and honors which include the distinction of being listed
since 1985 in "Who's Who Among Black Americans, and being
resented the "Liberty Bell" in 1990 by the Honorable
Mayor Wilson Goode, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. McCollum has traveled extensively
preaching and teaching the Gospel of our Lord. He has recorded
three albums and has written two books. One of his more memorable
trips was to the Holy Lands, and an opportunity to conduct
a revival in Germany.
Dr.
McCollum has dedicated his life to serving this present age.
The focus his ministry is to exalt the Savior…making
sure that Jesus is the head of everything that we do and that
God is revered, worshipped, praised and consulted that He
may draw all men unto Himself. His greatest desire is to bring
hope to hopeless situation, to provide ministry to the total
person.
